Interesting stats on SONY’s hacked passwords
In 2011 SONY’s Playstation network got hacked, 77 million accounts have been compromised, and more than 1.000.000 passwords – saved in plain text (!) and/or easily “hackable” MD5 hashes – have been published.
Troy Hunt has made a very interesting analysis of these passwords, including some stats on password-reuse. Worth reading for everbody who’s interesting in passwords:
